General Biome Information

The Amazon Rainforest is the world's largest rainforest, covering 1.4 billion acres, 40% of the South American continent including the countries of Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyanna, Suriname and the French Guiana. The Amazon makes up 54% of the world's rainforests and if it were a country it would be the ninth largest.
The Amazon Rain forest is home to a plethora of different and unique species and wildlife.
